Our Story. BUILT BY RIDERS. FOR RIDERS

DownShift started with one rider looking for better protection without sacrificing personal style.

IT STARTED WITH A FRIEND LOOKING OUT FOR A FRIEND.

A friend encouraged me to start riding with proper protection. At the time, I didn't have anything to keep me protected on the road.

I started looking for an armoured hoodie—something that could give me the protection I needed while still looking and feeling like something I actually wanted to wear.

I couldn't find it.

SO I DECIDED TO CREATE IT.

PROTECTION SHOULDN'T MEAN LOSING YOUR STYLE.

Motorcycle protection has traditionally been built around dedicated riding gear. But not every rider wants to look like they're wearing traditional motorcycle gear every time they get on the bike.

I wanted something different—a hoodie that felt natural off the bike while still being designed with the rider in mind.

The first concept wasn't about creating a perfect product. It was about creating something that didn't exist in the way I wanted it.

From the beginning, the goal was simple: combine the everyday feel of a hoodie with the protection and functionality riders need.

EVERY GENERATION. A NEW IMPROVEMENT.

Gen 1

Where it Started.

——

Gen 2

What we Learned

——

Gen 3

What Changed.

——

Gen 4

Where we're going.

——

Every release gives us another opportunity to improve. We take feedback from riders, learn from each design, and carry those lessons into what comes next.

THE RIDERS HELP SHAPE WHAT COMES NEXT.

DownShift isn't built in isolation. Rider feedback, real-world use, and the experiences of the people wearing our gear all influence where we go next.

We listen. We build. We refine.

MORE THAN RIDING GEAR.

Then four concise principles:

PROTECTION

Designed with the rider in mind.

COMFORT

Gear you actually want to wear.

STYLE

Your gear should still feel like you.

PROGRESS

Every generation should be better than the last.

WE'RE JUST GETTING STARTED.

DownShift started with one rider looking for something better. Today, we're continuing to develop gear around the same idea—listen to riders, improve the product, and keep moving forward.

WHAT'S NEXT IS BUILT FROM WHAT WE LEARNED.
